There
is no substitute for knowledge and experience
Robbie Robinson, President of GSR Consulting, Inc. and
Plano's Citizen of the Year 2000, said, "Councilperson
Loretta Ellerbe is admired for her experience, judgment, intelligence,
and hard work. Through more than 20 years of extensive service to our
community, she is prepared for the demands of city council in a way
few can ever equal. As a result, she is respected for her sound decisions
and achievements during her first term. She has earned our vote for
a second term."
When speaking of Loretta Ellerbe, Paul Wageman of the
NTTA said, "As Plano’s representative on
the Regional Transportation Council (RTC), Loretta’s support
was key in securing for the NTTA the right to construct and operate
SH 121. Her leadership helped ensure that SH 121 would be controlled
by a local authority accountable to the public. Plano is fortunate
to have someone with such sound judgment representing it on the
RTC."

Mrs. Ellerbe said on another topic, "At the RTC, I succeeded
in getting a new policy approved that allows Plano to use money
previously spent on Hwy 121 as credit towards its required matching
funds on future projects. When implemented, this policy will
free up millions of dollars of Plano’s bond money
for use on Plano's other unfunded road projects."
